2016 is just around the corner and it got me thinking (shocker). Turning 22 soon has got me feeling like I need to get my you know what together, but sitting here thinking about it now, I give myself props for what I’ve managed to figure out in this craaaaaaaaaaazy place so far. We all have our fair shares of lessons learned, and obviously, looks like I decided to share mine. I think we all deserve a round of applause for just making it so far – not even kidding, and would honestly love to read the little lessons that make you who you are. We all need all the help we can get, ya know hehe. Let’s make this year one for the books.

  1. Balance. Everything from what you eat to the time you spend working.

  2. Look for the positive in every situation. It might be little, but it’s always there.

  3. Read a good book. Inspire yourself. Learn.

  4. Life is short. Spend your time doing what makes you happy.

  5. Network. Meet people. Connect. Surround yourself with people who build you up, not tear you down.

  6. Don’t compare yourself to others. Be the best you that you can be and love every step of the way. You are more than enough.

  7. Let love in. Go in full force.

  8. Take care of your body. Sleep. Eat. Stretch.

  9. Always do your best. Make yourself proud.

  10. Be grateful for the little things in your life. They make you who you are.

  11. Believe. Whether it’s faith, religion, or in yourself.

  12. Just do it. Whatever it may be. Fear kills more dreams than failure does.

  13. Don’t spend a second caring what people think about you. Only thing that matters is what you think about yourself.

  14. Smile at strangers. Be kind. Make this world a better place.

  15. Call your grandparents. Put your phone away. Be present.

  16. See what you can get away with. Take the pressure off and go for what you want. Why not.

  17. Give. Whether it’s a dollar or the world. Leave a dollar more than you normally would when you tip. Give one of your favourite things to someone who would totally love it.

  18. Forgive. Others and yourself.

  19. Cuddle. It heals.

  20. Travel. Say yes. Experience culture. Try something new.

  21. Love yourself first.
